Engineering Alliance Minnesota invites you to participate in our new educational resource: STEM Meets the Challenge of the Pandemic.
We are actively seeking STEM professionals interested in creating photo profiles about their careers for students in grades 7-12 and the educators and other adults who support them. The purpose of these profiles is to introduce a STEM professional, learn about their career and career pathway, and explore what it is like to be an engineer or scientist solving problems and answering questions relevant to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please note that we are considering the pandemic connections broadly and creatively, and looking to include diverse STEM professionals, STEM careers, and project examples.
If you are interested in serving as a STEM role model in this way, please complete this form. Soon after receiving your submission, we will follow up with a mock-up of your profile for you to review. Once approved, we’ll post it on the Explore STEM Careers webpage.
If you are interested in learning more about STEM Meets the Challenge of the Pandemic, consider signing up for a 30-minute Q&A orientation session. These sessions will be customized to meet the needs of participants, covering topics such as: STEM professional profiles and virtual mentoring opportunities, contributing blog content related to the project, participating in the spring virtual summit, and sponsorship opportunities. Upcoming options are:
- Tuesday, March 23, 2 PM
- Wednesday, March 31, 10:30 AM
- Wednesday, April 7, 12 PM
- Tuesday, April 13, 2 PM
- Tuesday, April 20, 10:30 AM
Thank you again for supporting our work, especially your efforts to provide opportunities for young people to explore STEM careers and the real people who have them.
